Producer: The family-run "Tenuta la Gioia" company is immersed in the beautiful countryside of Noto, in eastern Sicily. The centuries-old olive trees of the farm date back to the times of the Moors on the island. Today Chantal takes care of them personally all year around, with Salvatore's precious support.
Cultivation: The owner personally takes care of all stages of production, from pruning to harvesting and oil production, in limited quantities, without the use of pesticides or any other chemical product.
The EVOO: prevalently from Moresca cultivars, U Gustu Miu is an average delicate and fruity EVO. The predominant cultivar is generally characterized by a sweet taste, but in this case, the very early harvest, the presence of Nocellara Etnea and Tonda Iblea, give a stronger taste and a stronger fruity note to this oil. To be tasted especially on salads, vegetables or fish based dishes. To surprise yourself, match U Gustu Miu with a nice dessert, obviously Sicilian.
